Note:please check the printer version before update.if it is 1.13.    Then your printer fireware no need update.(you can save 1-7 steps.)form the eighth begain operating.

Stpe1:first install the canon IPF fireware Lprinter service-tool-ENU-V1.2.1

Step2:Contact the computer and the printer by USB.

Step3:Run Lprinter service tool.click refresh  button serch IPF5000.

Step4:After searched the printer on dialog on computer

Step5:Click specify fireware buttom.will display the specify fireware dialog .after click specify fireware file.select the IPF 5000 fireware.

Step6:After added updated fireware.select the IPF 5000 printer on dialog. The Transfer fireware will be activate.

Step7:on processes of normal update .will display” fireware update programming…..”on printer viewing screen.the printer will auto turn off and turn on repeat when the update finished.the viewing scree will display new version number after turn on printer again.please remember.:in update processes.please ensure the power and USB was contacted.

Step8:in printing processes. When the printer display “NO INK LEFT”please begian shield the cartridge chip.

Step9:plese open the cover on the lest.take out the cartridge of display on printer viewing screen.refill ink full.the install it.close the cover.

Step10:The viewing screen will display “The remaining level of the …….please check,check,check.please press the confirm botton.

Step11:when the viewing screen diplay the check.please select information.then press OK.

Step12:next ,the viewing screen will display three agreement information.need comfirm.”confirm information 1           TANK ONCE empty is ↓used,stop↑printing due to↓ink level↑unknown,to↓continue,you↑must cancel↓ink level↑detection.↓cancel?↑no ←→yes←→  please select YES.  Press OK.

Step:13 confirm information 2    Rvoid ink level detection after confirming that ink is in ink tank.canot is not liable for damages due to filled ink,agree?no /yes.please select YES.

Step14: confirm information 3    Avoid ink level detection .perform after use of ink tank was memorized .agree   no /yes. Please select YES.
